The Fridge.

I'm so excited!

For those of you who think I live an exotic lifestyle here in Australia, look away now.

I mean it. Shut this page down, go away, have a cuppa and imagine me running down some golden beach in a red skimpy one piece, laughing with the bronzed life guards before wrapping a gorgeous sarong around my trim waist and slipping my expensive designer shades down over my sexy eyes and revving away down the road in my soft top Porsche...

You're still here? I guess you realise I am who I am. Sitting here blogging when my kitchen is a trashed mess from breakfast, the floors need washing and the ironing mountain is registering as a landmass on Google Earth.
*Sigh*

Do you want to know why I'm so excited? You do? Oh you are darlings!

From this moment onwards I'm getting organised. I'm going to take control of this messy house. I'm going to write lists, plan menus, schedule and delegate and live a perfect life. And it all started with this mornings delivery. May I present to you my new fridge!

Ta Da!!! It is only cheap but it's been bought for the garage. It is going to organise me in my quest for stress-free mealtimes. I will buy one big shop each week. No running back in and out of Woolies every couple of days for just a couple of things. I will plan my meals and prepare food every Monday when I am off work and will store it in my spacious clean and currently empty fridge in the garage. My fruit bowl will no longer get soggy and soft. I will have tons of room to keep all the spare veggies and spare fruit No more apples falling out on the kitchen floor every time I open the packed normal kitchen fridge to get the milk.

Oh Joy!

I'm just going have one more little peep inside before I go collect the kids from school.

Hang on...
Someone else must have other ideas...

Where are you MR B..............! I'm going to wring your neck....

  1. I've just been catching up on your posts Gina - I do love reading your blog, it always makes me smile!
You've done a great job of Rhiannons room and she looks very happy with her new look. I can imagine that it was with mixed feelings you painted over her childhood bedroom though.

  2. I have recently started meal planning and it really is a godsend. I don't know how I managed for so long without one. Just makes life so much easier and I am saving so much money which is always an added bonus.
Good luck, and please share your progress :)
    xx

  3. You mean you're not that girl you described at the beginning of this post? Well, I'm shocked! ;)

Your hubby is hilarious! I'm surprised he didn't fill that first shelf with Guinness. :D Good luck on organizing your meals. I need to do this as well, but unfortunately we can't have a big fridge/freezer like that in Germany. I'm getting really tired of going to the market daily.

  4. Oh you're funny Gina and your hubby, tut tut (lol) Meal planning makes life so much easier during the week and I really hate going to the shops all the time so I meal plan here all the time. Enjoy your new shiny fridge may it be full of all things healthy;) xo

  5. Haha - your sense of humour is just my kind! :-)

  6. Dream on Gina! The "garage fridge" always ends up holding the "good" stuff. Help yourself to one and you'll forget all about that "organizing, fruit and extra meal" crap!

  7. You go girl...and let us all know how you make out! :) I will continue to dream to be organized. I actually make steps in that direction all of the time, but get side swiped and never stay on the right path.

You both have a great sense of humor...humor sure is a gift. My husband's humor has been able to help us through many a rough road! Sometimes it is either laugh or cry. Love reading your funny posts :)

  8. Being organized is over-rated in my book...just saying. :)

  9. Thanks so much, Gina, for popping over for my Royal wedding post. I bet you miss Ireland. I have only been there a few times, and I miss it. Bewleys is our favorite coffee shop in the world.

I love your post here . . . best of luck on all those goals for your kitchen and your new fridge. Loved your fun ending.

    fondly,
    Glenda
