Goodbye, Farewell...

What a day we have just had. The word emotional roller-coaster jumps to mind. Rhiannon finished Primary School today and there were lots of tears and laughter combined. Many of my photos had images of kids just too upset to share. Looking at them when I came home I filled up myself as I saw the vulnerability on their little faces.

The day started in church with a lovely Mass where they were given candles as mementoes. They then had a lovely lunch in the school hall and were given an amazing "Clap Out" by the rest of the school.

At the end of the day Rhiannon wanted to catch the school bus home for one last time. As the driver let her out he waved and beeped his horn all the way down our road till he was out of sight...

...and that's when the tears really started to fall...

  1. Congratulations Rhiannon! What a huge day. Even though it's all over, you will always have your wonderful friendships and memories. Now you can all enjoy your summer and I'm sure high school will be a great adventure!

  2. I remember when my children went through the same kind of farewells, they thought that they would never befriend other students in the future...but they did...
