Busy week.

I don't normally leave a week between updates on the blog but it has been a busy week. My parents are visiting and we have a full house. This week is an overlap with my sister here too and it will be a big finale tomorrow when my brother has his christening for his new baby. It will be the first time that my family will all have been  together in a few years so we are really looking forward to it.

It has been a hot week. We went for a great walk in Wangi this morning and although it was 35C (95F) it felt lovely under the dappled light of the gum trees. Everyone is having a siesta now, sleeping off their lunch and getting ready for a relaxing evening before our early start to the Christening tomorrow.

  2. I wondered what you've been up to. Glad to hear you're having such a lovely time. Hoping all goes well with the Christening. We are getting better every day here. The rain has let up, it's a beautiful sunny day and I have every window open to let it all air out. It feels fabulous. Enjoy your family!

  5. As a woman almost fifty who still climbs a tree at least twice a year, I think that tree is amazing and you captured it magnificently.

Hope tomorrow is filled with nothing but sweet moments.

  6. I'm glad to hear you are having a good time with the family. It is nice when everyone gets together after many years...time to catch up on memories and laughs. Enjoy!

  7. -22.3C here Gina - your weather sounds much more desirable!
Your mum and dad must be thrilled to see all the family - saying goodbye again will be a wrench. :(

Enjoy it though, the memories will keep you warm for a long time to come.

  8. Today we might hit freezing. That's our high temperature.

Nothing lovely about being under a gum tree right now.

  9. What an absolutely gorgeous tree!!! It reminds me of the trees we used to sit under for music class when I was in elementary school. Thank you for sharing the picture with us. : )
