Strawberry fields forever...
This little plant isn't quite enough to fill a field but we have big hopes for it! Sian and Rhiannon chose two little potted plants at a local nursery last weekend and asked could they have them instead of pocket-money. They have been watering them every day and making sure they get plenty of sunshine. It is lovely to see them working as a team. I just wonder how long it lasts.. maybe until the strawberries actually appear and ripen.
"That's my strawberry"
"No it's MINE!"
Gina,
Our strawberries are taking AGES but the key is lots and lots of water. The girls will love them!
PS - finally getting back to blogging myself, you have inspired me LOL
Great to hear you have caught the blogging bug again! Looking forward to reading about you making a huge batch of strawberry jam with your crop...
I LOVE LOVE LOVE fresh strawberries. I wish I had an area to grow them but I have to settle for my one little tomato plant.
Hmmmm....raising girls....the real "fun" doesn't actually begin until they get into their teen years. I think they forget the word "team" every existed. :)
And I LOVE this pic of the strawberry plant. I'm remembering being a small girl, picking strawberries at my grandparents' house! :)
